Countries aren't showing up on map when I add coins

Forgive me? I'm very new here and this may be a boring question:
I've added several coins today, looking forward to seeing the countries highlighted on my map as I did so. This is NOT happening; do I need to log out, then log back in, to see the additions or is there a site issue?

Could you specify which countries? Many, especially new ones are not yet showing on map.

Assuming you can see my profile, it angers me that I'd be asked this question; NONE of the countries associated with my coins are new!

PLEASE SEE MY PROFILE:
I list having 9 coins but only 2 different countries are give credit. That demonstrates a CONSIDERABLE discrepancy, and since I was logged out overnight, any chance the map updates once a user is logged out clearly DOESN'T happen.

Please...please look at my list and remedy the issue. Having signed on for a site membership less than 24 hours ago, it is a problem that I didn't expect to occur and don't wish to continue.

Maybe because you have added the coins as swaps and not in your collection? Not sure if swap coins will highlight the country on the map.

Coins we want to exchange are not part of our collection as we don't want to keep them.
Only the coins you keep in your collection will appear on the map : you only have two coins from two different countries in your collection as you want to swap the other ones.

Only two countries should appear on your map.

Pcarey assumption is right. Only coins in collection are shown on the map.

Although it is now redundant note, I can see your profile, but since your collection is private, I wouldn't be able to identify which countries are probably missing.

Everybody is so angry any more. In the future if you are asked a question, it might help to ask if you provided relevant details for proper troubleshooting.

The update (when adding to collection) happens straight away.

I tested just now - here is my map before I added a coin from Sudan


then I chose a coin at random, and put a 1 in one of the grade boxes


and now there is a blue colour added in the middle of Africa.

I did similar by adding a random coin to exchange from there, and the map was unchanged.


So yes, only collection coins are shown on the map, not exchange coins.
