Currently when scrolling down the catalogue this is what you can see for each coin page without actually clicking into it:

So basically title, monarch, date(s), commemoration, metal, diameter, weight and catalogue reference(s).

I propose we make thickness visible here too; it would be useful in differentiating between thick and thin varieties among other things, without having to click into each page.
Hi,

I support that suggestion!

I'm also in!

But before we jump to this new functionality, there is a remark that I would like to make: variation in thickness can be non-systematic even in modern coinage (e.g. https://en.numista.com/forum/topic25456.html).
@ArnoV

Definitely see your point, but that's more of a problem with the thickness value itself than my suggestion. :`

Whatever the number we decide to put in that field on a coin's page, that number should be visible alongside diameter, weight, metal fineness, etc.

Thicknesses in Numista are typically not Mint supplied values and much too dependent of user, their technique and equipment. I consider them basically useless (especially when measured on non high MS condition).

I am agree that the measures are not exact (I myself use a ruler, precision ±1 mm, for diameters and thickness when I create a new page of object: I have nothing better). But… if the reason for refusing show the thickness here is its probable low accuracy, same reason can be used to not show the diameters or weights.🤔

The search results show only the key information about a coin. I don't consider the thickness to be a key information in general*, and I prefer to show it only on the page with all the details about the coin.

(* In the cases where the thickness is a key element to differentiate two similar coin types, there should be some indication in the title of the coin page.)
