Hi everyone ,

Needs help with identification of a coin i recently acquired , i think its copper about 5 mm thickness
weight 16 gm , size 20 mm and has a lion / tiger on one side
Please help

The animal looks like Persian coins of the first few centuries AD. Sorry I can't help more than that. Hopefully someone with more expertise will chime in.

One place to start looking is Safavid civic coppers - your coin is reminiscent of that general type.
