1844 UK coin

Appears to be an 1844 UK coin (1 shilling). Looks identical to the coin with Queen Elizabeth on the obverse.
However instead of the Queen's face, it only has a very big V. Reverse has the crown, one shilling and all the shrubbery on it just like the coin I find all over. (KM# 734). My shrubbery is slightly thicker but not by much.
It was used on a necklace or bracelet with a hole in it so I am guessing a cheap coin.

Photos would be trememdously helpful, but it sounds like your coin was made into some sort of adornment; the V might be an initial, kind like a love token, so that might explain why it was holed (to be worn on a chain).
