can someone help me to translate the meaning of the edge inscription on my medal?
Medal from Sweden to commemorate the Circumnavigation of Christian Adolf Virgin with the HSwMS Eugenie in 1853
the text I have troubles to identify is the one inscribed on the edge of my medal
Nils Retter Topprer (Toppreb?) Åtsman Öland 2 No58.
Metal: Gold plated silver or might also be gold plated pewter
Weight: 18.13g
Diameter 30.5mm
Thank you,
Paul

I was wondering if it was awarded to a participant aboard the ship.
But I can't seem to be able to translate the words Topprer (Toppreb?) Åtsman
Nils Retter could be the recipients name and yes Öland from where he is from.
The numbers behind I'm also not sure.
