What are the differences between these 3 coins? (<- Link to numista listings)


They each have their own KM number but I cannot tell what the differences are.

Which of the 3 is the coin below?

Hey Aaron,

Your coin is definitely not KM#233, which is a mule with the reverse of KM#231 (dated AH 1247), so we can rule that one out straight away (yours is dated AH 1249).

Meanwhile, it says on the page form KM#234:
"Small English Letters "QUARTER ANNA" (NOTE Image on this sheet is wrong, it's a variation of KM232) KM234 has very small letters and the Q & A stop well above the crossbar of the scales, will replace when we find a suitable picture)"
So therefore your coin is KM#232.

Not at all, happy to help! I learn a lot as well while doing it, so it's educational for all.

I would record it as a G if it were my coin, but the difference between the two lowest grades isn't that important for low-value coins like this one, so it doesn't really matter IMO.
