It is very important, because coin sheets frequently undergo some changes, like
1. change catalog number.
2. change subcategory
3. change name
4. added years

and so on..

I think members should be informed if coin, which they marked, changed its category or so.

I did not touched my African collection about 2 years. Today I looked through my list of collection, and discovered that a lot of information changed, and even some deleted. I think, it's unfair .

Had similar wishful thinkings in the past....
Hi,

please have a look at the journal of your collection here. Link is also available from the tab "My coins", right below the graph showing evolution of your collection.

Changes should be reflected here (data only available from May 21, 2018 we cannot go back further).
Sapientiae plerumque stultitia est comes.
Si c'est un grand plaisir d'être reconnu par ses amis, c'est peut-être encore plus flatteur d'être reconnu par ses adversaires.
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.
1st type of change = user make changes in his/hers own collection (pejounet: not an issue here)
2nd type of change = user makes changes on certain coins page => only this user and admin, who confirms the change are aware of the change and nobody else
3rd type of change = someone makes a change on a coin, except this user and admin, everyone else do not have a freakin' clue over this change => everyone else hence still thinks their collection is up to date.
and os on...

Possible solutions:
- monthly user customized bulletin
- special page where users can see changes within their collection, once looked into it, the link deletes its self
- recognition of information, which is crucial for such notifications - who cares if a name changes, unlike changed currency or added year or sub-type, which are definitely an important info (and so on...)
- notifications for active users only?
- and so on...
I brought up something similar to this discussion last year.

Yes, agree with mikimaus. Notifications are very different think making life much more comfortable.
We should receive them for key changes. I don't mean that "Mr. CREPOSSUC changed contrast and sharpness", just important things.
Second way - ok, let it be a general notification like
a) "Hello! Looks like there are changes in a coin sheet you marked as collection". Then we decide ourselves to check modification story or not.
b) "Hello! Looks like there added a new coin sheet in the country from your collection". Then we click a country and find what's news there.
c) "Hello! Looks like a coin sheet marked in you collection, does not exist anymore". Then we will look what happened with our coin. When admin delete coin sheet, members have a right to know why.

I really really need this. I collect different coin variants, and I don't want to miss when a coin gets updated without me knowing. And when a new year is added for a coin I have that hasn't been minted for 10 years, I'd like to know, so I'm aware of a new coin, since I may have the type crossed off a list when i have all dates. And this could be a notification toggle option, so it doesn't annoy people.

Makes it hard to collect, because I can't just check my collection every time i get a date that has variants. I have too many coins for that.

I see a listing with a variant, and always wonder if that was recently added.

Ive started making a note of what variation I have, just incase I discover a change to the listing.

This would be useful for sure! I support this!
