Recently we have had some bad weather and are going to need a new roof for our house due to that we have to come up with a deductible for our insurance. We were quoted at $28,000 but as long as everything goes smooth with our insurance company we will only be responsible for the deductible. I’m sure deductibles usually run similar prices state to state however I’m sure being in Florida our premiums are much more than other areas. As far as contractors go down here I’m sure they make a killing almost half the houses just on my street are getting new roofs just from this storm and it wasn’t even a hurricane. In the past year 3 houses have already gotten new roofs and 1 of them is getting another from the hail.
