I have a 1982 D i think it is a large date it weighs 3.1 grams. The face of the coin is split off over liberty. Would this add value to this error.Should i have it graded would it be worth it?
This appears to be a lamination error. It's not worth much, so don't bother having it graded.
What about the fact that it is supposed to be zinc but is not it is copper

1982 US cents were struck in both copper and zinc, you just have to compare the weights.

Why is it supposed to be zinc? It's just one of the 6,012,979,368 1982D large date cents, although with a lamination error.
There is no easy way to determine the value of such errors. This one is reasonably spectacular, if I may put it this way. Here are more such laminations currently for sale (or being auctioned) on eBay (via picclick). Note that some are way overpriced.

You should try using this site, it has some good information:

Regarding the 1982 small & large dates, I believe the easiest way to tell them apart is the number '2' in the date. The small date '2' has a bit of a hump bulging forward. The large date '2' appears to be more straight.
On Lincoln cents varieties, there is also this site:

and my favourite go-to site for US coins and values is:

It is not rude when someone answers a question that you have asked. The only rude "hatter" I guess you meant hater, has been you. You come here, ask your question, receive expert feedback, and then attack.
