Hi All,

just quick question for me to learn a bit more. It is fake or just damaged coin?

Thanks for advise :)

It just looks like damage from general circulation
You need to check the listing for this coin, as there are two versions.
The first version had lines across the face of the swimmer, whereas, the second version had these face lines removed.
The first version is supposed to be quite rare.
Sorry, but cannot add link to the actual coin, but it is well worth a look as your worn looking coin looks like the first version.
I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.
For all you banknote collectors. Link to my swap list.

Thanks for answers,

I do know that are two version of this coin, and the coin with lines over faces was made only about 600 pcs. As well I know that is quite rare and on ebay they selling about £500-800 . And exactly for this I found for selling yesterday this coin on picture, was the rare one, but I wasn't sure if was original and only damaged or was fake as that rare coin have a lot of fakes. I was confused as i compare mostly the lines and they were ok only which I wasn't sure was looking like the color from coin start dissapearing which for me was more looking like fake, and I still planned to buy as seller described that weight was 8g but somehow I start be busy in work and I miss this coin, was sold in auction on ebay for £25 what is big shame if was original coin, with some damages

But thanks for answers

Regards
Don't worry, you didn't miss a bargain. It's a fake.

Thanks.
By what you did recognize that it is a fake? Want to learn for future ;)
It's fake coin made to imitate the rare variety with water lines over the face. The sort of thing made to fool collectors rather than for the face value of the coin.
Compare to the image in the link below.

In general:
First, look at the details. Your coin has very crude details.
Compare the weight and dimension.
And if a coin is rare, scarce and valuable, always be careful
