But it does look very much like a coin of mine, which I also suspect to be a contemporary counterfeit:

The counterfeit is not magnetic (which it should be as the original is made of nickel), the edge reeding is vague, and the edge itself is crude. The colour is more grey than the original.
I think both your and my coin are contemporary counterfeits made using the same techniques. Maybe their cradles didn't stand too far apart.
