I found two of these medals at a yard sale. They were in the bottom of a jar of old marbles. At first I thought they were just given to tourists visiting the museum. After much research. I believe them to be part of a collection des Palais. I've weighed them and are exactly 0.520 ozt and are 34mm diameter. Any information on this France medal would help. I'm trying to find it catolugeud and seems scarce
hi,

it's a token :

Placez votre main sur un poêle une minute et ça vous semble durer une heure. Asseyez vous auprès d'une jolie fille une heure et ça vous semble durer une minute. C'est ça la relativité.

but I found out it's not gold has it tested. What is it and worth
Sorry to say, they're worth next to nothing unfortunately, as tourist tokens carry little numismatic value.
Thank you so much guys. The nice man at the local coin shop told me that I should remember the thrill of the 5 days of excitement and resesrching. To be honest it is a complete rush. You can't put a price on that. Had fun happy collecting.

I have two.
It is indeed a tourist jeton, sold in Versaille
You can buy them for €2 to €3

Do you need this token for your collection. I di t want to break rules but wanted to give them to whomever is missing them. I'm not a collector and it is my way of thanking everyone here for the help.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. It was a thrilling few days.
I think this may be the start of my new coin collection/collecting. I had so much fun. My dad passed away of cancer and he is French. So when I found them I thought it was a sign. Since I bought a jar of marbles at a yard sale and found them in it later. I think that is why there us two of them in the jar. One to keep and one to trade!

Can one of you guys help me to trade my extra token. I'd like something maybe French or to die with the fight on cancer or really anything you think I should have to start my way. I'm pumped. I hope to hear from all. People are so knowledgeable and kind here. Great site and community. Glad to be a part of it.
