This akche does have the word Constantinople on the coin. The problem is that above or below that name should be the first year of the Sultan's rule. This coin has the date, 98(2), on the other side. That is the first year for Murad III, 982-1003 / 1574-1595. However, I could not find any Murad III akche in the comprehensive catalog by Sreckovic where the date from the Constantinople mint is on the opposite side of the mint name.
That would already narrow it down quite a bit. So far I couln't find this type. I remember an old Auction with a extensive collection of Old Ottoman coins including Akce coins sold by Kuenker but I cannot seem to find it anymore might have helped to search there.
Do it see it correctly, Constantinople is written at the lowest line of the first picture?
Cheers,
Paul
