This is an inquiry both on the catalog & identification; the catalog indicates 2 variants for this year, a 'C with & without tail'. I am not familiar with this reference (book?)(Cal?). If anyone can point me to that I'd appreciate it. My Krause isn't helpful, it only indicates K67 & K67a, Copper & Cast Copper, no variant for 1812. It also separates Barcelona from Catalonia for this time period, wondered if Barcelona should be listed on it's own.
Also, if you're specifying a variant it should be identified with at least a description if not a picture in the catalog.
Hello John,
Thank you for your observation. I have added images of the two variants of 1812 in the Comments field. As you can see now in the file, it's about how is written the letter "c" in the word Barcelona. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces4230.html
Cal. is the reference of Numismática Española By Xavier Calicó (Ed. 2008), the main general catalog of modern Spanish coins.
