some links are in Romanian, some in German and some in English, but all are listed in Krause 19th / 20th century under Romania and in Buzdugan 1977 "Romanian coins and banknotes"

There is another one "Stern" who engraved the 1873 series of Romanian coins, but I cannot find any reference to his first name anywhere.

Stern if I recall correctly is a simmilar as Lauer a engraving house where different Engravers worked but usually we do not know who for which coin

So some further research reveals there were two:

Moïse / Moyse Stern (1826-1915) - associated with Isidore Aumoitte (1797-1846) in 1834 in Paris. Then Stern's son joined in 1890, René Stern (1862-1940) and they formed Stern et fils.
