Fake Morgan dollar 1888 O

A friend brought me this from Vietnam


24,42g 38mm

Given the weight and provenance it must be fake but it's not magnetic.

As I don't know much about coins from the US, could you please tell me if you know about such fakes and if it has any value.

suppose to be 26.73 and 38.1 diameter. would guess that is a fake but i dont collect them.

100% a crude fake
look at the mint mark(o) below the eagle and compare it a graded example.

So to be clearer I would like to know:
- if it is a known fake
- if it has any value above melt

I would say that it is not made of any silver so there isn't really a melt value.
These kinds of fakes are made in mass quantities and are all cast slightly different so i'm not sure what you mean by a "known fake".

Okay so you are saying it is a crude Chinese mass produced fake in some undefined non magnetic metal with no value.
