Hello! This is my first time posting on this forum, I have been collecting foreign and old US coins for about a year now, thanks to my position where I work. I recently ordered a Foreign Currency Grab Bag off of Amazon and I found this extremely light tiny gold-ish coin. It is unfortunately bent, but I am still wanting to identify it, if possible.

Edit: The coin is around 14mm in Diameter. I do not have a scale to get the weight, but it is LIGHT. I'm going to guess under 0.5 Grams. Additionally it is very thin.

Here is a front and back shot of it next to a 1952 Dime (for size comparison):

The bottom of the first photo shows a date, possibly 1224 (ca. 1809 AD) or 1227 (ca. 1811 AD). It's hard to tell in the photo, but if you check closely you can probably tell. I was unable to find a match in Zeno, but it looks slightly similar in design to

It might be an original coin or a copy. Does it appear to be gold or brass?

Hopefully someone will be able to read the Arabic for you. If you can find someone with a scale and obtain a weight that might be helpful.

Thanks for the info! It does look similar to that coin you linked. Could possibly be another denomination or year of that currency. I think it is gold, it has a much different sound when dropped than any coin that I have. (Although that could be due to the weight) it is also fairly malleable. I'm sure I could fold it in half if I tried hard enough.

Arabic and Asian coins are my weakness. I have a very hard time identifying coins from those regions.
If it's gold that would tend to favor a genuine coin, possibly Ottoman. Please check the date versus Persian numerals and determine the date. Also, I am not necessarily recommending this in this case (it's just something for you to be aware of), but sometimes it is possible to place bent coins between two pieces of soft wood and tap gently to reduce bends.
Well I got a much better shot of the front. It looks like a distorted version of the coin that was linked.

Better pictures are necessary of both sides to be 100% sure.
From what I see at the moment, this is a brass imitation loosely following the design of an Ottoman gold coin. Such imitations were widely used in costume jewelry instead of real and much more expensive gold coins.
I collect coins and tokens which circulated in Africa from 18th century to 2000. I sell about 7000 illustrated world coins from http://www.avscoins.com.
Here is a better shot of the other side.

It being a copy would make sense. I assume many grab bags online are searched for the rarer coins before being sent out.
It is not a copy. A copy would reproduce the details of the original coin, but this does not. This is a fantasy piece, imitating in very general terms the look of the Ottoman gold coin. It has a date of AH 1221 on it, and there was no Ottoman ruler whose reign started in 1221., the closest was Mustafa IV, but he came to power in AH1222 (1807AD) and his coins look different.
