Hello everyone,

I had bought this banknote from a shop. It is supposed to be 5 Gulden 1847 banknote from Austria.
There is no series or serial number as it normally is.

Do you think that this is a fake?

Appreciate all help.

Oh, that is a weird one. Yes, the series should be at upper left, and serial number and upper right.
What did the seller say about this? Did s-/he have any information about where it came from?

What is written on the back? 115 E something?
Yes 115 something. That is hand written by someone ... no idea what that means
The seller said the banknote was 'rare' and nothing much more. I was not aware when I bought this that normally there would be series and numbers ... I know the seller well and he has quite a big business with banknotes
I should probably go back and ask for more information about how he got it and what he knows about it. Maybe he even can read the handwriting on the back? Maybe it's an address. ;)
Looks like a contemporary forgery to me.
