It looks very similar to an ancient Roman coin that I have. Valentinian I. :

Thanks. Mine is too worn to see the names and inscriptions clearly. Your Valentinian I is the closest I have seen.

I cannot enlarge the picture, but it seems like it is a Roman Provincial coin, maybe from Alexandria or the Levant somewhere, as it looks like the letter are Greek.
