As I type this we are up to coin number 199,122 at least, maybe more. :wiz:

I wonder which coin will be the magical number 200,000 and who will add it.

I think you have to subtract 35669 items from Exonumia and a chunk of the 17119 tokens :°
Maybe so . .but there will still be a number 200,000 Coin ... :wiz:

When I look at the number of coins in the catalogue, I only get a total of 175,617.
I assume that includes all items, including tokens and exonumia.
Any reason for discrepancy?

I think the difference is in deleted duplicate listings and non-validated additions
My personal list of scammers from Numista: erniemix, yvain, CassTaylor
So, how many are actually listed?
Are we nearer to 180,000 than 200,000

 On the home page ...
https://en.numista.com/

Catalog: 175,637 coins
Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins
As I type this we are at page number 199,949 ...

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces199949.html

So only 51 more coins to be added before we reach Number 200,000

Mike,
According to the catalogue I can see, it only states 176,245 coins.

I am assuming that is the total for all four categories listed below. Is that correct?

Countries & Territories
Ancient coins
Non U.N. States
Micronations

I am struggling to see where the extra 23,000+ coins are hiding.

Can you explain what I am not seeing, or doing correctly

Those are the coin pages that were deleted because erroneously created (doubles, non-allowed items etc.) or merged with other pages.

Here is a wonderful golden coin for number 200.000 ... not my field of coins, even more because of the price (160.000 CHF!). But I do like the abstract design, makes it feel pretty modern B)

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!

Hi Geoff - I know we don't actually have 200,000 coins in the database but each coin gets allocated a number when it is added to Numista. We just passed the Coin that has number 200,000.

This is Coin number 1 >>>>> https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1.html
This was coin number 100,000 >>>>> https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces100000.html
(Unfortunately it does not have a picture)

As posted by BramVB this is the number 200,000 >>>> https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces200000.html

Means nothing really ... was just a bit of fun to see which coin would get that number.

Anyway lets keep improving and adding coins to Numista, the speed that the Perth Mint and the RAM are pumping them out it won't take long to reach number 300,000

Cheers Mike

Nice that it's a unique coin with such an interesting history!

I've also submitted photos for #100,000 two days ago, if the referee approves them, they should be up soon.

Let's see what #250,000 will be.

best

Uff, but the comment section is in need of a serious rewrite.
