Does anybody know something about this coin - I think it is a very old coin but I don't know from what country or year ? If someone has any ideas let me know

The legends seems Russian to me...

  Probably just a coincidence -
the design on the reverse of yours has a resemblance to that one I saw just now ?!  :|
Looks like a skull and crossbones - without the skull.

I was thinking along the same lines as lidianb when I saw the backwards "N" and thought it might be Russian. But after having no success with a keyword search here on Numista and after looking at the lettering on the second image I did a Google search on "Franchimont" and came up with a Belgian medieval fair at Franchimont. Take a look yourselves and see what you think (type in "Franchimont Foire Jeton") ;)
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.

The legend on obverse seems to read MONETA NOVA TECTIS - New Coin of Theux (city in Belgium). I agree that the reverse refers to the Fair in Franchimont (region in the province of Namur in Belgium). Thus, this is probably a token related to this fair which takes place in this area since Middle Ages.
I collect coins and tokens which circulated in Africa from 18th century to 2000. I sell about 7000 illustrated world coins from http://www.avscoins.com.
