When adding notes to My collection, it's really frustrating to see all these "Signature 12", "Signature 37". My signature is "Kill Kenny", but I don't know if it's number 12 or 37. Please write the names of the signatures!

Thank you!

More reason why we need T.B.B. references - as The Banknote Book has signature charts that the Pick catalogues lack.

I like the TBB, but I just have a few fragments from it (the free part ;) ), since it's too expensive, I reckon.

Some have copied a signature chart to the page, but it's still time consuming to match signatures.
This s*** happens when people follow SCWPM like robots. Basically if you are just a Numista user all this information is just crap since you don't know who or what Signature 12 means. :|

Andy, the Pick number system is pretty much a broken one - & the sooner that T.B.B. catalogue numbers are added, along with signature charts, the better!

Krause Publications went bankrupt, so I doubt if there will ever be new editions of the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money (a misnomer, as banknotes are increasingly made from polymer instead of paper) in the future.

We should create out own Numista numbers!

Based on abbreviations of the issuing entities names?

A very good idea that was originally used by Owen Linzmayer until his T.B.B. number system was created.

Gambian decimal notes would be catalogued using 'C.B.G.' numbers - for Central Bank of The Gambia, for example.

We can't do this now, our banknote catalog is quite poor in information but this can be done for sure.

@BCNumismatics I am now aware about TBB, can you please send me a link or give me some info about?
Andy, Owen Linzmayer is the publisher of http://www.banknotenews.com ,so you can go through here to get it;

Thank you, it looks very promising. I saw they have few free chapters. I have to check them to see how they organized everything.
" Please write the names of the signatures!"
I have tried to add the signatures (just did it now on an input for a 1961 10 Rials note from Iran) in the ND/Date section/field & the catalogue does not accept them. A message like ("unknown") comes up. The signatures I tried to input will not be entered. (Oops- just read Xavier's post re: signatures must be registered). Ignore this post (thanks)
