What is a rational content for the Lettering fields?

I've submitted a few change requests that included the content for Lettering fields. But the more banknote pages I'm seeing on Numista the more questions I have with regards to the purpose of these fields. I understand they are referenced to when searching. Anything else?

Particularly, how useful is the lettering for this note, or this? B. If we want to be so accurate as to list a bunch of denomination values, why don't we break BANK OF CANADA into 3 lines like it actually appears on the note?

To me personally, a good balance for the lettering fields would be just the text from the note, without duplication, no unneeded line breaks, and denomination only when it is present in line with currency name, like this note - "20 Лева" at bottom right on the reverse, for example.
Agreed lettering on banknotes is a lot more information heavy and think there need to be some guidance. The formatting on the lettering section isn't great either. It would be nice if it could be translated into English so as to advance knowledge.

Actually, there are separate fields for translation (for both obverse and reverse). But they are often left blank when people add/edit sheets as it takes time and a good command of English (or French) to get it.
Good to know, I haven't added any banknotes yet. Still working on coins!
Personally, I am a proponent of extensive covering of the present texts.
Especially when non-standard Latin scripts or other scripts that are not really understood by most people are used. The most interesting thing for me are the translations but we are clearly lacking in that department at the moment and this can only be solved by dedicated referees or members capable of understanding the languages.

What I would not do is something like in the example with the very many 10s that are just for decoration.
If a major texts is repeated multiple times I would in most cases write (xN).
