I need to sort a few thousand tokens, HELP

So hey,

I've seen the coin sorting trays and such, those look really neat, but is there something that would sort coins with far more detail than that?

To explain further, I have this rather large pile of tokens, and I want to sort them by size and/or weight. Sure I could take a caliper to each one and get a table with pockets to fling the coins into or something, then go through them all a second time and weigh stuff, but I'd really like to hear from folks who have done coin sorting on a massive scale.

While I'm asking, are there any sorters that sort by weight?

For what it's worth, we're not just talking dime penny nickel quarter, the sizes could be 0.800", 0.880", 0.900", 0.984", 1.000", 1.073", 1.125", 1.250".....

The point of the sorting exercise is to then make data entry easy: rather than measuring/weighing each coin in sequence, I can have a pile of coins that are all the same weight, type in a bunch of obverse/reverse details, copypaste the measurements onto all of them, move to the next stack, do the same. Once I have all the data, I'm hoping to get it into Numista as well.

Can anyone advise on where to start?
I do it in two parts.
1. I tip out a lot on a table, then put them in three piles -
small on the left, medium in the middle, and large on the right.
Sometimes, after doing that, a few of similar size are in two different piles,
but generally they are alright.
2. I then grab a handful from one pile >

then arrange them in hand in a long row. Lastly I arrange them in size order,
and place that handful on the table ready to be looked at later, then repeat.

Appreciate the tips. My problem is that while I can easily compare whether one token is smaller or larger than another, I don't want to do this literally a thousand times; are there any automatic methods?
