I'm proposing Japanese Occupational Government as a separate ruling authority for the following: [Myanmar › Burma], [Malaysia › Malaya], [Indonesia › Netherlands East Indies], [Philippines › Commonwealth of the Philippines]

I recommend keeping the respective entries under the same currencies as the ones they were intended to supplant.

I agree with the separate ruling authority but would suggest simply Japanese Government, as this is what appeared on the notes.

Agreed - Japanese Government alongside George VI.

Japanese Occupation.

Definitely NOT issues of the British Empire or the British Commonwealth at all!

Aidan.
The box is titled "Ruling Authority" not "Era". If it were the latter, I'd agree on "Japanese Occupation" but, as it's the former, "Japanese Government" is surely the appropriate term.
Did anyone suggest that these issues were from the British Empire or Commonwealth?

Hello

For now, I added all the rulers for Burma/Myanmar, for coins and banknotes.

I sent submissions for all the coins. For the banknotes I just tested a couple, but most of them are missing a lot of info, they don't even have a date.

Japanese Occupation is fine. The title of the field will be shown as "period" so it fits better. The Japanese Government can be the issuing entity.

Note the Japanese also founded a puppet state led by Ba Maw in 1943-1945, and there is a separate authority for these notes:

Could the dates for "Union of Burma" please be corrected to "1948-1974"? We currently have a gap between 1948 and 1949.
