Before I trouble you folk here I try to identify a coin using CoinScope on my phone. On this coin every time I use CoinScope it gives a different name.
Two question: 1: Is there a better phone app than CoinScope?
Even when I took images myself to sent to you folks for Identification it is so shiny it does photo very good. 2: Any secret to photo shiny coins?
Coin scope never worked for me, I tried it on some obscure coins and the results were all garbage.
I don't need it for most modern world coins I am faster with a Numista search (so I guess this program is not for me).
For proof coins try to angle them so that you don't get the glare in the camera, this might also get a better contrast for the algorithm.

same here. Which coins the coin scope working with, those ones easy to identify. With the old indian states, medieval hungary, etc not a big help, but I dont mind, I think if I searching, looking after, that is a better learning process.
