Hello I have acquired a 1949 to 2009 China Ag.999 coins and the coins are part of this set. I was wondering if they were truly created by the bank of China and are legitimate pieces.
I'm sorry but I'm afraid these aren't real coins, There is no denomination on it. But I do believe these could be real 1oz silver pieces of metal. Call them medals, tokens or exonumia, but unfortunately not legal tender coins.
I can not find these coins anywhere officially minted by the "Bank of China" as their official government bullion coins are represented by the Panda. I also cant find any official bank of China coins colorized such as yours at least directly from the mint. Possibly a private mint and as far as silver content, that would be up to you to determine. I could be wrong but lets see if anyone else are familiar with these.
Better not to buy anything from China anymore. Fakes and low quality products make sick the markets, and damage people who invented, or studied before making the artifacts...
hmmm, could still be silver if that what you mean and not just some token silver plated item. However to find any documentation on official site is very hard in the western (english) as essential no one either collects or stacks these items. Even if you in the know about these coin/tokens release by the CCP they are usually give to officials of the CCP members so if they are genuine (i dont know) only know that load of memorabilia are given to loyal CCP members .
I would also be interested in where there is information about this type of thing.
