It has all the characteristics of gold. As for example as soon as I rub it a little through my fingers it glows.
I have had it in my collection for 5 years and there are no traces of tanning.
It is definitely not a gold-plated coin. it is of one metal. it is not cast into a mold. it is forged.

I searched Zeno and found several examples of this similar coin (in silver, not in gold).

With this kind of date and a hole, I'm thinking this may be a "belly dancer" ornament, made to look similar to a coin but meant for decoration of a costume?
It must not look like a real one if it is made only as an ornament ....
For that, they cut off their heads because it was a forgery ... the ornaments were obliged to have a nebulous year of forging and rule, and sometimes their entire relief was fantasized ...

everything is as it should be here. pierced is noisy because it served as an ornament in that period. but something like this would also be punishable in that period because the currency was being destroyed. probably the hole was created after the Ottoman rule because someone wanted to have it with them. the coin is authentic. i am not able to do that kind of analysis so i can see exactly what all kinds of materials are in it. sounds like silver. it behaves like gold. it was forged from one material.
